|
|
My paintings are created with the central
figure in a strong realism. This allows me to capture the moods and
feelings of my subjects rather it be a beautiful woman or a man in
torment. I then use the backgrounds and setting to help define this
mood in either a realistic or my own swirling abstract form. The result
of the dramatically focused realism combined with the deep space of
the backgrounds gives the viewer a sense of the sublime in art.

Each piece of cast-off wood has within itself a hidden form
that I am at first unaware of. As I work the piece and remove
the decayed areas, it speaks to me, guiding me in different
directions. The focus of my art is to create objects of beauty
that are both calming and mentally titillating.

CALL FOR ARTISTS
Augusto
Fine Art is looking for Ohio local artists, as well as
national and international artists to be featured on our weekly
electronic newsletter The
Art Fix .
We are looking for emerging and established poets, writers,
painters, illustrators, photographers, sculptors, glass artists,
costume designers, set designers willing to share a piece
of their talent to enlighten the life of all of us and to
showcase their art.
A poem or/and passage of a short story will be paired to
a visual artwork at every issue. Literature and artwork must
be submitted electronically.
There is not a limitation on the quantity of pieces to submit,
or number of proposals by one artist. There is not a deadline.
However, Augusto
Fine Art reserves all the rights to select the literature
pieces and visual artwork to be displayed, and the rate of
distribution.
Featured artists will be linked to their websites or to a
contact information web page. No fees or commissions will
be charged to be promoted or as a result of any sales resulting
from this promotion.
