The Art Fix is an electronic venue of free and alternative promotion and distribution of art and literature. It is not a representing art agency. We don't charge fees for promotion; we don't sell, or get commissions for the sales of artwork, books, bobbleheads, washing machines, kitchenware or puppies resulting from our efforts.

The Art Fix is a creation of, and brought to you by Augusto Fine Art.

Issue 1
Call For Artists

The Art Fix is looking for artists living or studying in the Greater Cleveland area that would like to be featured on our Cleveland Fine Art Connections series.

We are looking for emerging and established poets, writers, painters, sculptors, photographers, glass artists, and designers willing to share a piece of their talent to enlighten the life of all of us and to showcase Cleveland art power. Local art galleries are encouraged to send images of the artists that they represent and/or opening night announcements.

A poem or/and passage of a short story will be paired to a visual artwork at every issue. Literature and artwork must be submitted electronically.

There is not limitation on the quantity of pieces to submit, or number of proposals by one artist. There is not deadline. However, The Art Fix reserves all the rights to select the literature pieces and visual artwork to be displayed, and the rate of distribution.

Featured artists will be linked to their websites or to a contact information web page. No fees or commissions will be charged to be promoted or as a result of any sales resulting from this promotion.

Insomnia Notes

by Augusto Bordelois

Death is sublime, because I must become dust to nurture another birth.
Open doors confuse me. They might close behind me.
I won't believe in any savior, if they don't disclose their good intentions.
The big bad wolf is my hero. I am unable to explain my life without enemies and fear.
Love is not that great. My common sense fades and I would sacrifice my life to save hers.
The snake is pure catalyzing light. We would not have made it here based only on God's design.
I should celebrate my nightmares. They remind me what I should not forget.
I am not lost if I don't know where I am going. I arrive to a new places.
Smiling wrinkles your face. Crying opens your heart.
Medicine is poison if the healer controls my life.
After a long and hard day, the torturer goes home, have dinner with his family, kisses his kids goodnight and makes love to his beloved wife.
Lying is the right thing to do, when the truth is not expected.

Going somewhere up there. (Oil on canvas 36' x 48') Augusto Bordelois
