The Art Fix is an electronic venue of free and alternative promotion and distribution of art and literature. It is not a representing art agency. We don't charge fees for promotion; we don't sell, or get commissions for the sales of artwork, books, bobbleheads, washing machines, kitchenware or puppies resulting from our efforts.

The Art Fix is a creation of, and brought to you by Augusto Fine Art.

ARTIST STATEMENT
In terms of style, I prefer to work in a, melancholic version of abstract expressionism heavilly influenced by symbolism, DADA and Suprematism. The emphasis is on the function of the form, rather than purely the form itself.

ARTIST STATEMENT
I was cursed from the start. Not only did I enjoy drawing, it turned out I had some talent too. And from an early start, I knew that my art had to do more than simply hang on a wall. I get an all consuming joy from my work. It moves me; it evokes emotion. I want others who take time to gaze at my work to feel something ~ passion, sentiment, wonder ~ perhaps some nostalgia.

SALVADORE'S NOTES FOR SAMUEL

If Acting is bleeding in public
then tragedy is the art of the dying fall
and comedy
the rise and rise of hysterical misunderstandings.
The Theatre of cruelty is the radical chic
of the instantly disposable N.Y. smart set.
Theatre of the absurd
perhaps the most salient metaphor
for the fully hard wired cyber automated
dead in life, life in death
resonance
whereas
Grand Magic Theatre,
the natural multi-layered epitome
of the ever pragmatic three ringed circus
in which cowed animal cousins are replaced
by A sexual archetypical cipher clowns,
all friskily alive on blood soaked oil sawdust
for all of those glad handers who would simply sell you
hotdogs, hamburgers, buttons and beer
at any given crucifixion.

Gus Faux, Best Poets 2002, Theatre of the Mind, Patterns of Life, Eternal Portraits, Songs on the Wind, has been published in the USA Britain and Canada, and has won ten Poet of Merit Awards and three Editors Choice Awards from the International Library of Poetry.
