The Art Fix is an electronic venue
of free and alternative promotion and distribution of art and literature.
It is not a representing art agency. We don't charge fees for promotion;
we don't sell, or get commissions for the sales of artwork, books,
bobbleheads, washing machines, kitchenware or puppies resulting
from our efforts.
The Art Fix is a creation of, and
brought to you by
Augusto Fine Art.

When we are in nature, we don't
just see what is in front of us, we feel what we see. All of our senses
are engaged; we hear, we smell, we absorb the energy of the land.
In my paintings, I use color and technique to re-create this feeling,
so it is not just a visual representation; it becomes a visual trigger
to evoke the feeling of the land. |

Some random thoughts while I was Calm in
1995 and 1996.
Be your best every minute.
Stand back and let yourself fly.
Blonde is the color of love for me.
Be open.
Do it.
So just look around and SEE.
You are the only judge of your world.
Eliminate judging, serve.
Accomplishment is hard work; there are NO short cuts.
Make the life you have the best it can be.
Think about boredom before you flee.
Face the fact; it's hard to make progress.
You don't need to talk about what you're doing.
The school of painting I represent is for others to define.
Be grateful if anyone sees you.
Ya can't just get off.
When anything is complicated, it's wrong.
With age comes the severity of mistakes.
Amazing the French invented the shower.
None of us can fix "it."

INVITATION TO ALL ARTISTS AND A CALL FOR ENTRIES
ART
at WAR THE ARTIST'S VOICE
The Aldo Castillo Gallery will present an exhibition to provide
a forum for all artists (established and emerging) to express
their views on the current acts of war and war in general.
The Gallery's social mission is to increase awareness of
the significant cultural contributions of international artists
and Latin American artists in particular, through exhibitions,
educational programs and live performances. Any "theatre"
of war is so inconsistent with our overall mission that we
feel compelled to encourage artists to express their individual
perspectives as a means to further dialogue and present the
multitude of opinions that surround this subject (it seems
ironic that the current Iraq war is taking place in Mesopotamia,
where one of the world's first civilizations and important
cultures was located).
DEADLINE FOR EXHIBITION ENTRY: July
14th , 2004

CALL FOR ARTISTS
Augusto
Fine Art is looking for Ohio local artists, as well as
national and international artists to be featured on our weekly
electronic newsletter The
Art Fix .
We are looking for emerging and established poets, writers,
painters, illustrators, photographers, sculptors, glass artists,
costume designers, set designers willing to share a piece
of their talent to enlighten the life of all of us and to
showcase their art.
A poem or/and passage of a short story will be paired to
a visual artwork at every issue. Literature and artwork must
be submitted electronically.
There is not a limitation on the quantity of pieces to submit,
or number of proposals by one artist. There is not a deadline.
However, Augusto
Fine Art reserves all the rights to select the literature
pieces and visual artwork to be displayed, and the rate of
distribution.
Featured artists will be linked to their websites or to a
contact information web page. No fees or commissions will
be charged to be promoted or as a result of any sales resulting
from this promotion.
