The Art Fix is an electronic venue of free and alternative promotion and distribution of art and literature. It is not a representing art agency. We don't charge fees for promotion; we don't sell, or get commissions for the sales of artwork, books, bobbleheads, washing machines, kitchenware or puppies resulting from our efforts.

The Art Fix is a creation of, and brought to you by Augusto Fine Art.

ARTIST STATEMENT

My work, often romantic in style, is frequently inspired by mythology and dreams.

I try to appeal to the conscious, as well as unconscious mind and to the spirit, by using symbols. My background in Cultural Anthropology and extensive studies of mythology and of the hidden, archetypal structures of thinking, have been very helpful to me in presenting such symbols and creating an imaginary world.

Four international artists – Claire Jeanine Satin, Michael Baigneaux, Mary Bennett and Matthew Rose – open their own books and parse their words at Art Vitam Gallery with the exhibition: "The Art of Books and Writing." 9 October - 20 November, 2004.

ARTIST STATEMENT
ARTIST STATEMENT I am interrested in synthesizing art and technology to device a new meaning for abstraction. Integral to both process and content, digital technology allows me to experiment, to design precise geometric shapes and manipulate an infinity of colors.

If I can brighten someone's day, fulfill his or her need for fantasy and whimsy, then I have done my job.
