The Art Fix is an electronic venue of free and alternative promotion and distribution of art and literature. It is not a representing art agency. We don't charge fees for promotion; we don't sell, or get commissions for the sales of artwork, books, bobbleheads, washing machines, kitchenware or puppies resulting from our efforts.

The Art Fix is a creation of, and brought to you by Augusto Fine Art.

ARTIST STATEMENT

At Home (Oils on Mango wood)

"There is no must in art because art is free" - Wassily Kandinsky.
This quote has had a tremendous impact on me since the day I first read it.

I feel that there are infinite ways to express oneself, the canvas is my stage for free expression.

ARTIST STATEMENT

I work intuitively and in a process that involves uncovering meaning in objects. Creating echoes within that object that link it, through the viewerís imagination, to other universal objects or phenomena.

Laura Higgins Palmer

“Dark Skies”

Ian Sheldon

Reception:

Friday, Nov. 5th

6 - 9pm

“Dark Skies seeks to represent the sheer poetic beauty and compositional skill that Sheldon brings to the genre of landscape art”,
says Gallery Director Claire McGovern.
The Yellow Kimono (Oil on linen)
ARTISTS STATEMENT
I patiently observe dancers in motion until I see a line which excites me and which I record on paper. Having captured "the right line", I develop each drawing in "real time" with the dance, working from dancers in motion. Sometimes I elaborate or embellish drawings and sometimes I leave them as direct finished works.
