The Art Fix is an electronic venue of free and alternative promotion and distribution of art and literature. It is not a representing art agency. We don't charge fees for promotion; we don't sell, or get commissions for the sales of artwork, books, bobbleheads, washing machines, kitchenware or puppies resulting from our efforts.

The Art Fix is a creation of, and brought to you by Augusto Fine Art.

Gil Bruvel
ABOUT THE ARTIST
While taking drawing lessons at the age of nine, it became evident to Gil that he wanted to spend his life creating art. He began working in oil at age 12 and at age 14 he left a Jesuit boarding school and entered into a restoration workshop. There, he spent the next 4 years learning the techniques of the Old Masters. This stunning environment has had an enormous, impactful and lasting influence in the development of his technical skills as a painter and on his palette.

Born in Australia and raised in France, in 1991 Gil set up residence in Hawaii with a three year hiatus to work on a private commission project in Houston, Texas.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

"As Don Quixote put it (and not Cervantes, who was a crazy-one-armed-man who thought he had written the best novel ever, with the only hand he had left): "There is nothing bad where there is music." Music is the art of happiness, and the fact that Tejuca's art was going to welcome music and musicians was just a matter of time. His paintings are happy as reflected in his recurring series about the circus, surrealistic creatures and women of-dreams." Enrique Del Risco

ARTIST STATEMENT

I believe all artists strive for the alchemist's magic. They are attempting to transform a viewer's experience into gold. The process of layering paint upon drawing, upon brushstrokes, upon hundreds of marks, triggers the alchemist's quest to transform lead into gold, or dreams into reality. A paintbrush represents lead, the finished canvas is golden.
