The Art Fix is an electronic venue of free and alternative promotion and distribution of art and literature. It is not a representing art agency. We don't charge fees for promotion; we don't sell, or get commissions for the sales of artwork, books, bobbleheads, washing machines, kitchenware or puppies resulting from our efforts.

The Art Fix is a creation of, and brought to you by Augusto Fine Art.

ARTIST STATEMENT

My world is full of questions about the human condition, and it is meant to encourage the viewer to find his or her own reality, a reality than I can only begin to imagine sometimes. Prior to the creation of an idea, I gather expressions and experiences; the unconscious mind detains emotions and feelings; images that solve themselves just rise, and I help others to do so, with a profound instinct which is sometimes based on gesture.

ARTIST STATEMENT

The foundation of my creative practice is influenced by texture and colour. My current work uncovers the stunning microscopic landscapes that are unseen by the naked eye.
Exploring the beautiful minute forms of the weft and weave of the sculptural fibre pieces I make to create delicate textural imagery and environments.

I use a marriage of handmade sculptural textiles and various ‘New technologies’, such as 3D virtual software, scanning electron microscopes, laser cutting and etching and digital photography to create my work.

Science and ‘New Technology’ constantly inform my work on both a technical and creative level.

Pipe Dream

ARTIST STATEMENT

The images that reveal themselves to me are often borne of common objects with clear function, moving into realms wherein they have no obvious place but somehow seem to belong, at least for a time. Belonging is not always a comfortable place, not always a permanent place.
