The Art Fix is an electronic venue
of free and alternative promotion and distribution of art and literature.
It is not a representing art agency. We don't charge fees for promotion;
we don't sell, or get commissions for the sales of artwork, books,
bobbleheads, washing machines, kitchenware or puppies resulting
from our efforts.
The Art Fix is a creation of, and
brought to you by
Augusto Fine Art.

ARTIST STATEMENT
I deal with political and social problems of
our time in a way to transform our "cultures in conflict
and war" to "cultures in peace". The problem
that concerns me are for all human beings to live in a harmonious
coexistence with all our differences of lifestyles and beliefs,
aiming towards a good and joyful life for each individual
and accepting each-other for the human being that each individual
is, and regard gender, origin and appearances for the different
aspects that it is in life and not to dominate or kill eachother
over those differences, but to treasure the magnitude of all
our rich inherited cultures and preserve them and the beauty
of nature to the future generations.

I remember the first time I had
emotional connectivity with an object. It was a button. Actually,
it was a tub full of them; shiny, translucent, pearly, and brittle.
They were gold to me. The pleasant feeling of cool buttons on
my hand; the endless hours of sorting by color, shape, etc.
They held a wisdom and value that only imagination and naivety
could present.
The reason I create what I do, is because I need a practical
reason to feel comfortable in my own skin. My small interactive
sculptures blur the lines between natural and man-made, using
text and images to give clues about the pieces. Each one holds
its own mystery, often dealing with the ways we understand
our own fleeting lives and the discoveries made therein. The
emphasis is on texture, craft, and form, yet the pieces thrive
on age and memory. Being able to sort everything accurately
and accessibly is the key.

CALL FOR ARTISTS
Augusto
Fine Art is looking for artists to be featured on our
electronic newsletter The
Art Fix .
We are looking for emerging and established painters, illustrators,
photographers, sculptors, glass artists, costume designers,
set designers willing to share a piece of their talent to
enlighten the life of all of us and to showcase their art.
There is not a limitation on the quantity of pieces to submit,
or number of proposals by one artist. There is not a deadline.
However, Augusto
Fine Art reserves all the rights to select visual artwork
to be displayed, and the rate of distribution.
Featured artists will be linked to their websites or to a
contact information web page. No fees or commissions will
be charged to be promoted or as a result of any sales resulting
from this promotion.
