The Art Fix is an electronic venue of free and alternative promotion and distribution of art and literature. It is not a representing art agency. We don't charge fees for promotion; we don't sell, or get commissions for the sales of artwork, books, bobbleheads, washing machines, kitchenware or puppies resulting from our efforts.

ARTIST STATEMENT

I may not be able to balance my checkbook. I may not have a sense of direction. I may have no fashion sense. I may not have a green thumb, though God knows I’ve tried. I may be a lousy housekeeper, and I may burn food more often than I should. I may think of the cleverest answer
two days late, and I may be absolutely pathetic in a political conversation.

I may be deficient in more things than most. But I can draw. And that makes everything OK.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Irene Salley is in love with color and motion. She is not concerned with capturing the physical realism of the image before her, rather she is intent on combining her emotional reactions with the essence of the nature she sees around her… the intense colors emanating from the flowers, bushes, and trees of the surrounding landscape.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

I'm in love with shape and color. I like to create paintings that have a feeling of substance and give the viewer a sense of having their imagination set free. But mostly, it's joy that I wish to express. To extend an understanding of joy through beauty that is pure and beyond our usual earthly thought patterns. To whatever degree I'm able to do this, I believe it's worth doing. It's such a delight when people connect with a painting, it's humbling and astounding at the same time.

Mike Bohatch

ARTIST STATEMENT

As a professional of many years, I have found my greatest inspiration in the realization of dreams, nightmares and the hauntingly surreal. Imaginative
thinking can now come full circle with the wonders of mixed mediums and the digital environment. What lies ahead and what can be created is always
uncertain, but the comfort lies in knowing the Freedom of art is greater than ever. So many styles, so many interpretations and so many tools
available......the essence comes down to the idea, the concept and the presentation. I believe
the we are only limited by what our minds can perceive. There is magic that is waiting unrealized and amazing for those who are inspired to take
the journey.
