ARTIST STATEMENT

I do not subscribe to the notion that as an "Artist", I *must* have an "Artist's Statement". Who I am , where I was born, educated - or not, where I live, what are my personal likes and dislikes, what do I look like, how old am I, etc., etc., is of no importance.

The only thing that matters is what *you* - the viewer of my images *feel* and *think* when you look at my work.

ARTIST STATEMENT

I have always been fascinated with the Nature of the Universe as the ultimate expression of creativity in its highest form. The camera is simply the tool that enables me to capture a tiny fragment here and there, and thus continually discover the wonder, mystery, and inherent beauty that lies within everything. I'm drawn into the game with Time and Light that enables me to experience the Timeless. I go out empty, and let the moment fill me up. I never know what my next image will be. I don't want to know.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Once I gave my students an assignment to create a painting with a summer theme, and a 5 year old boy told me, "I want to dance this painting, Teacher could you dance it with me?" I had never danced before, because I move like an elephant, but I really danced for the first time in my life with this boy. I learn a lot from children.

ABOUT THE ARTIST (By Jeff Carter)

When Greg Orduyan became the Moscow Golden Gloves champion back in 1987, some wondered if the 16-year-old of Russian-Armenian decent would pursue the dream of winning an Olympic medal. Hardly.

As someone dripping with artistic talent, Orduyan, who first picked up a paint brush at 3, had a much bigger dream — of coming to California and making it in the art world...
