The Art Fix is an electronic venue of free and alternative promotion and distribution of art and literature. It is not a representing art agency. We don't charge fees for promotion; we don't sell, or get commissions for the sales of artwork, books, bobbleheads, washing machines, kitchenware or puppies resulting from our efforts.

I didn't know I was different from my neighbor.
I didn't know my skin,
My blood,
My eyes,
My bones,
My walk,
My accent
Mattered that much.
I didn't know that my neighbor thought I came to steal his job,
His wife,
To rape his daughter.
He told me so.

My neighbor doesn't let his kids play with mine.
He thinks they are rude because they are loud and happy.
He thinks my girls are obscene because of the way they walk and dress.
He says that he will defend his family from mine,
And on and on.
He told me so.

Angry, because of my blindness in front of such a monumental body of evidence,
He explained to me where he came from,
Where I came from.
Foreigners in a foreign country.
I told him so.

He reminded me who his great-grandfather was,
And who mine was.
Foreigners in a foreign country.
I told him so.

He spat at me each word,
And after a while, he made me see.
My neighbor is different.
He wants me to be his enemy.

The Art Fix is looking for artists living or studying in the Greater Cleveland area that would like to be featured on our Cleveland Fine Art Connections series; and artists living or studying in Ohio to be featured on our Regional Fine Art Catalogue. We are also looking for artists outside the region that would like to network with regional artists and connect with local galleries and audiences. Outsiders will be featured in our Fine Art Network series.

We are looking for emerging and established poets, writers, painters, photographers, sculptors, glass artists, costume designers, set designers willing to share their a piece of their talent to enlighten the life of all of us and to showcase art power of this region.

A poem or/and passage of a short story will be paired to a visual artwork at every issue. Literature and artwork must be submitted electronically.

There is not a limitation on the quantity of pieces to submit, or number of proposals by one artist. There is not a deadline. However, The Art Fix reserves all the rights to select the literature pieces and visual artwork to be displayed, and the rate of distribution.

Featured artists will be linked to their websites or to a contact information web page. No fees or commissions will be charged to be promoted or as a result of any sales resulting from this promotion.
