ARTIST STATEMENT

I was born in 1959 in a small city called Lenczyca in Poland, a city with 1000 years old history with many beautiful castles, old buildings and churches. I started to paint when i was about 8 years old. Penetrating old buildings and old ruins of castles looking for treasures and antiques, one day i found an old box of oil paints and some old paintings. I was charmed by the beauty of real old things and started to collect them, love, and appreciate them. I had the opertunity to regularly visit the museum, which was located in our castle, admiring old furniture, sculptures and of course paintings. Those experiences and mysteries swamp surrounded Lenczyca had a huge impact on my work and life. The darkness of dungeons and legends about the greatest guardian of Lenczyca's treasure-Boruta Devil appears on my canvases quite often. From that time untill today, I use oil paints and old master technique which I was influenced by ( John Martin, Rembrand, Rubens, Van Dyk ) to create my own magical world from my imagination and dreams, about life and death in the atmosphere of mysteries.

In February 2004, The Art Fix project started with 250 art-related contacts in my personal list. Today, The Art Fix campaigns reach a targeted art-related audience of around 15,000 weekly. By the end of 2005, The Art Fix's network is expected to reach 20,000-25,000 art-related contacts. To date, around 700 artists and galleries have been promoted in The Art Fix campaigns. The Art Fix project filled a promotional void and need of a large art-related audience with a professional look, credibility and an honest message "Promoting art for the sake of sanity, happiness and art itself." However, the more we grow, the more expensive and time consuming it gets to sustain this free venue.

If you like THE ART FIX, please help support it!
You can now make secure online donations with your credit card through PayPal.
Gifts of all sizes will provide valuable much-needed support for this project. THANKS!

ARTIST STATEMENT

My work is primarily of an abstract expressionist nature, and I tend to photograph the same subject from various angles to achieve full effect. The primary goal of my work is to convey emotion, rather than being purely documentary.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Neither abstract nor traditional landscape art, my work is perhaps best described as 'non-figurative', focusing on mood and ambience rather than literal subject matter. Fundamentally I find beauty in things that are commonplace. I feel greatly inspired by the beauty of patina, deterioration, and how environments are affected by the elements.
