The Art Fix is an electronic venue of free and alternative promotion and distribution of art and literature. It is not a representing art agency. We don't charge fees for promotion; we don't sell, or get commissions for the sales of artwork, books, bobbleheads, washing machines, kitchenware or puppies resulting from our efforts.

The Art Fix is a creation of, and brought to you by Augusto Fine Art.

Words #3 (Vinyl, dressmaker pins)

ABOUT THE ARTIST

My goal is to extend visual boundaries to create wonderment through the exploration of materials, surfaces, and composition. I am currently exploring dressmaker pins and I have used them in an innovative way so that they are unrecognizable when first viewed. In this current body of work, I have created images which compositionally represent the dynamics of general and personal relationships. I believe that most people wear an emotional 'mask' depending on the situation. It takes time to get to know someone beneath the 'mask'. Sometimes you never find out who someone truly is. My artwork is exactly that. I believe my viewer will see the dressmaker pins first which will instigate the beginning of a relationship with my work.

In February 2004, The Art Fix project started with 250 art-related contacts in my personal list. Today, The Art Fix campaigns reach a targeted art-related audience of around 15,000 weekly. By the end of 2005, The Art Fix's network is expected to reach 20,000-25,000 art-related contacts. To date, around 700 artists and galleries have been promoted in The Art Fix campaigns. The Art Fix project filled a promotional void and need of a large art-related audience with a professional look, credibility and an honest message "Promoting art for the sake of sanity, happiness and art itself." However, the more we grow, the more expensive and time consuming it gets to sustain this free venue.

If you like THE ART FIX, please help support it!
You can now make secure online donations with your credit card through PayPal.
Gifts of all sizes will provide valuable much-needed support for this project. THANKS!

ARTIST STATEMENT

In my photomontage photography frequently appears the image of the female nude. This is the subject that corresponds to my sensuality, but also to something deeper that is linked to cosmic nature, to universal mythos and archetypes.

Woman, more than Man, has roots into life: Eve is the mother of all life! Therefore I agree with the French photographer Jeanloup Sieff who said: “I do not believe in God, but Woman is the proof of His existence.”

We are looking for emerging and established painters, illustrators, photographers, sculptors, glass artists, costume designers, set designers willing to share a piece of their talent to enlighten the life of all of us and to showcase their art.

There is not a limitation on the quantity of pieces to submit, or number of proposals by one artist. There is not a deadline. However, Augusto Fine Art reserves all the rights to select visual artwork to be displayed, and the rate of distribution.

Featured artists will be linked to their websites or to a contact information web page. No fees or commissions will be charged to be promoted or as a result of any sales resulting from this promotion.
