ARTIST STATEMENT

This triptych is the result of a deep inner wish to have one for myself. Looking at the special form of a triptych I consider this the beauty of it; a triptych is playful, visually exciting, it can be closed by the hinged panels and an inspiring text can be painted on it. A triptych could be considered as the predecessor in medieval times of the contemporary slide-show.

In February 2004, The Art Fix project started with 250 art-related contacts in my personal list. Today, The Art Fix campaigns reach a targeted art-related audience of around 15,000 weekly. By the end of 2005, The Art Fix's network is expected to reach 20,000-25,000 art-related contacts. To date, around 700 artists and galleries have been promoted in The Art Fix campaigns. The Art Fix project filled a promotional void and need of a large art-related audience with a professional look, credibility and an honest message "Promoting art for the sake of sanity, happiness and art itself." However, the more we grow, the more expensive and time consuming it gets to sustain this free venue.

If you like THE ART FIX, please help support it!
You can now make secure online donations with your credit card through PayPal.
Gifts of all sizes will provide valuable much-needed support for this project. THANKS!

ARTIST STATEMENT

The works I create are a result of a labor-intensive meditation exploring the evocative history of images and the passage of time. I am compelled by images that express and give form to the conflicts and desires of humanity; that suggest in their essence the possibility of transcendence from the present state. It is this insistent possibility that I wish to call upon by using the body and landscape as visual seduction, drawing the viewer into a psychologically complex reading beyond expected satisfactions
