ARTIST STATEMENT

My concepts reflect my own philosophical and purely intuitive exploration of the paradoxes and cosmic laws consisting of the truth. The dramatic relationship between conscious and subconscious, good and evil, passive and active, past and future, dark and light, feelings and mind, has always been my theme. Experiencing these energies, I realize the "magic" that gives me a feeling of exhilaration and enlightenment.

In February 2004, The Art Fix project started with 250 art-related contacts in my personal list. Today, The Art Fix campaigns reach a targeted art-related audience of around 15,000 weekly. By the end of 2005, The Art Fix's network is expected to reach 20,000-25,000 art-related contacts. To date, around 700 artists and galleries have been promoted in The Art Fix campaigns. The Art Fix project filled a promotional void and need of a large art-related audience with a professional look, credibility and an honest message "Promoting art for the sake of sanity, happiness and art itself." However, the more we grow, the more expensive and time consuming it gets to sustain this free venue.

ARTIST STATEMENT

In planet paintings I attempt to put forward a new way of seeing the planet that we crowd. Human figures which I call "creatures" were in the center of my paintings before I started the planet series. In order to concentrate in the way of seeing, I had to remove the humans from the surface of the planet. Now having acquired a new way of seeing the planet, I'm experimenting to bring the humans back to the surface of it.

ARTIST STATEMENT

To sum up on what inspires me to paint bright and natural New Zealand Landscapes. The light! The bright clear light of my country which brings out wonderful colour in the landscape, a wonder to many who visit and taken for granted by those who reside. I am not an artist who agonises over his work, I simply strives to simulate on canvas the colours of my world.
