SOLAR HEAT AND LASER LIGHT
S.H.A.L.L.
WITHIN THE STELLAR RAINBOW.

THE AWARD WINNING
SONGS AND POEMS

ONCE UPON A DEMOLISHED SUN DANCE SOMETIME

Emerging from the chemicalised ruins
Morphius, him of the Undergrope,
otherwise known as the Conurbation Kid,
meets Zoie, the Government Clone
who killed her Minders, dousing them in alcohol
before burning the building behind her,
leaving her sign, her stigmata,
like a Gypsy.

Now both Outlaws up line
they come to terms with the bone white finger boards
all spouting double messages,
finally understanding,
all roads are circular
and all roads lead home.

But both their homes are gone.

Wayfaring interstellar star blown children
they travel these semi translucent trails
that twist through the unstable zones
deep into the mutating netherworlds,
the by product of all yesteryears missed opportunities
which, though they don't understand it,
they will joyously join,
becoming prismatic electro magnetic
vibrational cosmic dancers
in this newly gestated world
they have just become a part of.

Perhaps, after all, there is room for love
after all this sublimated hatred and fear
that has wreaked this hellish subhuman havoc
on what was once a beautiful
white gold pulsating blue jewel
swimming in peaceful celestial skies.

IN THE AGE OF ANTHRAX.

They haven't put barbed wire
Round the cities
- yet -
we all stay
connected to our pet poisons
- can't get -
free of the need
to pursue what we are told
- greed -
leaving the finer things
for when we grow old
- time seed -

head for the hills
live light on the land;
get past those pills
show an open, fair, hand.

SPRING

As the frost thaws
New blooms
White as snow
Burst forth
On lime green shoots
In high, bright, opaque sun

Wind fueled days
Brisk and clean
Like a new broom
On a bar room floor
As innocent Lambs gambol

In mossy meadows
Beside peaceful
Meandering streams;
Before ultra violet came.

FALL

From bursting green
to glistening gold
- amber to russet brown -
leaves fall
crisp and curled
like little husks
of summers wake
before stark winter
steps stealthily in,
- sealing all seasons -
with a blanket of snow
- enlivened only -
from slate grey blue skies,
by the bright orange
- autumnal -
mid winter fire.

WINTER

Only the Crows remain,
black, beady eyed guardians
of the top most denuded branches
scavengers watching frost rimed tracks
that lead inevitably
to the ice glazed pond,
where shorn logs lie waiting
hand hewn frost grue'd wooden seats
for some uninvited comic gnomic guest
at this most glacial moment
after the terminal moraine threw up,
froze, forever imprinted
on the internal retina's
just another - neural projection (?)
deaths timeless season
to be remembered at life's first
"really hopeful" festival;
the birth of that outlawed fully autistic baby boy
who came to save the world from itself.
