Graffitti Mural- To Kill a Mockingbird

Latex paint and Sharpy markers on Gatorboard, (16'x 3'), Warrensville Heights Middleschool, Warrensville Heights, Ohio 2008. This was an easy but interesting project. I was asked to create a graffitti mural with an 8th grade class based on the book "To Kill a Mockingbird" - the whole school was reading the book at the time. So, students picked their favorite sentences and passages of the book and wrote them down on this support- an abstract racial balance of justice tilted to the white longer white side of the mural to represent the unfair outcome of the book.
