Most of the time before I embark on a new large format painting, I create ink drawing studies and/or small color studies. It helps clear my vision and tighten the composion elements. These pieces are never shown in galleries and are only available if you visit my studio or my online store.  This is one of the drawing studies I did to create "Becoming Men"  60"x84" oil on canvas (Second Runner-up, The New Now 2014, Cleveland, Ohio)
